O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

DID NOT OUR HEARTS BURN WITHIN US?
LUKE 24:32
“Dear reader! These words pertain to all of Gods elect. Does not your heart burn when Christ our Lord opens the Scriptures to you? Does it not bring joy to your heart to see Christ Jesus, the God-man, in Scripture? Does not your heart burn with joy when you see in Scripture the Lord’s mercy expressed for his chosen, blood bought children? Does not your heart burn when you see in the Scriptures the peace God’s people have in his sovereign, loving Grace? The hearts of those two men on the road to Emmaus burned when Christ the Lord expounded in the Scriptures all things concerning himself. OH, HOW I PRAY THAT THE LORD JESUS WOULD GIVE YOU A HEART THAT BURNS WITH JOY, SPENDING TIME IN THE HOLY WORD OF GOD.
Pastor John Reeves
The Spirit of Truth
John 14: 15-18
“The Spirit of Truth is not some emotional stirring within that gives evidence of the Comforter, but of the sweet assurance of the mind and heart that is sealed up in a hopeful embracing of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1: 13). His presence is known by His convicting, converting power that reproves us of sin, righteousness, and judgment. What is needed to fill an empty soul and sooth an irritated conscience is the covenant promises of God in Christ. The seeking sinner does not need to speak in an unknown tongue. He needs God to speak to him the unknown gospel of his sovereign grace. This world is divided into two categories by the Apostle Paul: Jews and Greeks. The Jews are the traditional religionists and the Greeks are the philosophical wise of the world. Of these two he says in
I Corinthians 1: 22-24 “The Jews require a sign and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness; but unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.” The Spirit of God is the Spirit of Truth and by the Truth He comforts the hearts of all his true disciples.”
